The signal? Buried in a recent report detailing a meeting between Jay Y. Lee and Jensen Huang. The conversation wasn't about HBM3E catch-up. It was about V-NAND, SSDs, and a system-level memory play called CMX. A demand, the report says, equivalent to adding another Apple to the NAND market.

That’s not a product update. That’s a pivot.

Context. The Old King's Two Fronts.

Samsung has been fighting a war on two fronts. In HBM, it's a clear second to SK Hynix, stuck in a catch-up loop on performance and yield. In NAND, it's the reigning champion at ~35% market share, but the terrain is shifting.
